Jessica Foran (Annandale, NJ/Rutgers Prep HS) of the Moravian College women’s basketball team has been named to the 2010 Landmark All-Conference First Team.
Moravian has posted a 25-2 record this season including a 14-0 mark during the Landmark Conference campaign to earn the top seed in the upcoming Landmark Conference Tournament. The Greyhounds earned an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament after winning the Landmark Conference Championships, and will host the first and second round games in Johnston Hall on Friday, March 5th and Saturday, March 6th. Moravian will play Utica (NY) College on Friday no earlier than 7:00 p.m.
Foran is third on the squad in scoring at 10.4 points per game, and she has added 78 rebounds, 51 assists, 36 steals and nine blocked shots. Foran, who is the leading free throw shooter in school history at 86.7 percent (384-for-443), has connected on 96-of-113 free throws this season (85.0 percent). Foran has just 41 turnovers this season while playing 24.0 minutes a game.

The 13th ranked Moravian College women’s basketball team cruised to its 13th straight win and remained undefeated in Landmark Conference action with an 82-61 victory over visiting The United States Merchant Marine Academy Saturday afternoon in Johnston Hall as Greyhound senior guard Jessica Foran, pictured at left, became the 21st Moravian player to reach 1,000 career points and the third this season.
